Hariharasudhen Nagarajan, an electrical engineer by profession, harbours a deep passion for filmmaking and telling stories that are set within intimate, emotionally charged situations. His films often revolve around the complexities and nuances of human connection. Characters in his work are caught between personal desires and societal expectations, trying to grapple with difficult choices.

'Tether,' his first feature, self-funded and shot in ten days, addresses a socially relevant topic through the lens of human empathy. While aiming to be cost-efficient, Hariharasudhen finds himself to be a producer-friendly filmmaker. At the same time, he aims to craft narratives that challenge audiences, primarily exploring themes of love, loss, and dramatic dilemmas. His South Indian origins and subsequent exposure to various languages of cinema and life in the United States make him an accessible voice in putting drama on screen.

By far, Hariharasudhen’s short films have been screened at Canadian Screen Award qualifying festivals such as Toronto Black Film Festival (‘Unforgotten’, 'The Sharing'), WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival ('Unforgotten') and Toronto International Hollywood Film Festival ('The Talk'). His above-mentioned first feature, 'Tether', is a Dances With Films: Los Angeles Official Selection.
